Analogs of the drug Miramistin

Structural analogues of the active substance:

The list of cheap analogues of Miramistina with price indication

Most often, pharmacies purchase drugs that, according to patients, are not nearly inferior to Miramistina, they are as follows:

  • chlorhexidine (0.05%, 100 ml) - 15 rubles,
  • Hexoral (0.1% 200 ml) - 30 rubles,
  • rotokan - 32 rubles,
  • chlorophyllipt (oil-based 2% 20 ml) - 140 rubles,
  • furatsilin (0.02% 200 ml) - 70 rubles,
  • protorgol (drops 2%) - 90 rubles,
  • ingalipt (30 ml aerosol) - 90 rubles.

Submitted drugs are clearly cheaper. Other popular substitutes for Miramistin are in the same pricing policy or even exceed it; they include decasan, octinisept, dioxidine, malavit, lysobact, tantum verde.

Among all the funds listed, the most active positions are chlorhexidine - this is a cheap analogue of №1 Miramistin.

Which is better - Miramistin or chlorhexidine?

As for the price, chlorhexidine is 10 times cheaper. Both drugs are antiseptics, but they are not structural analogues. According to the official instructions for use, the active substances are different. The spectrum of action of Miramistin is higher, it affects not only gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, but also adversely affects a huge number of protozoa and fungi, so it is also widely used in venereological practice.

In their use of chlorhexidine and miramistin are in many respects identical means, and as such there is practically no difference between them. While comparing, a number of authors “stretches a blanket”, each in his own favor, finding significant advantages of one of the means.

In any case, both drugs will begin to act if the bacteria that caused the inflammatory process are not resistant to them.

Miramistin is preferred in pediatric practice and in pregnant women.

It should also be noted that chlorhexidine is more indicated for external use, since in the treatment of mucous membranes, side effects such as darkening of the tooth enamel, burning, taste, dryness and other disorders often occur.

For treatment of the throat, especially in sensitive patients prone to allergies, it is also better to prefer Miramistin, which will relieve patients from the possible side effects of chlorhexidine.

But, in most cases, when chlorhexidine is used in short courses, side effects are rare. Patients are satisfied with the action of the drug and the price at the same time.

The replacement of chlorhexidine and Miramistin for the treatment of the throat can be drugs: antiangin, kameton, Novosept, Strepsils, Lugol, Gorlospas and others.

Miramistin or Tantum Verde

The price of Tantum Verde is more than 240 rubles, so this drug can not be called cheap. Tantum Verde belongs to the group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and is recommended only for the treatment of dental and ENT patients. Miramistin is widely used in other areas of medicine.

The active ingredient of these medicines is completely different. In addition to the anti-inflammatory effect, tantum verde also has an analgesic effect, and Miramistin exhibits antibacterial properties, although it is not an antibiotic.

Tantum Verde is used no earlier than the age of six, while Miramistin has been used since early childhood. Therefore, for children under six years old, only Miramistin is recommended, and according to some sources, Tantum Verde is preferable to be prescribed even from a later age, somewhere after 10 years.

If the child is in the age category after 6 years, then every single clinical case dictates the use of one of the tools. Therefore, only the doctor will be able to answer the question: “What is the best for a child tantum verde or miramistin?”

If more bacterial flora prevails in the nasopharynx, Miramistin will be the best, if mixed, then Tantum Verde. Many parents ask why tantum verde is often prescribed for sore throats, when the bacteria in the tonsils just teem, because another antiseptic would be more effective?

It should be noted here that for these purposes a systemic antibiotic (in tablets or suspensions for children) is prescribed for tonsillitis, which eliminates bacteria, and Tantum Verde relieves local inflammation in the pharynx and tonsils. From here and a conclusion, without the doctor it is not necessary to buy everything in a drugstore on the advice of pharmacists.

The side effects of the drugs are almost the same; in the treatment of tantum verde, very little drowsiness was also very rarely observed.

What is better than miramistin or lysobact?

Lizobact, unlike Miramistin, is used exclusively for the treatment of pharynx and dental diseases, and is available only in tablet form. As well as Miramistin Lysobact is an antiseptic, so you can choose one or the other means.

Structural analogues of these drugs are not, but in their action they are similar. Someone is preferable to use tablets, especially while at work, and at home rinsing with miramistin is appropriate.

Lizobakt (30 tablets) costs about 120 rubles more. But here it is worth noting that a pack of tablets No. 30 for an adult patient lasts for 5 days. When using miramistin, 30 ml of the drug is consumed per day, i.e. 10 ml are needed for rinsing. Then a bottle of miramistina (100 ml) is consumed in three days. Therefore, we can conclude that the price of these drugs is actually the same.

Lizobact is prohibited for children under 3 years and does not apply to persons with lactose intolerance. In addition to the possible allergic reactions of other negative symptoms during the resorption of lysobact was not observed, and when rinsing with miramistin sometimes there was a short-term burning sensation in the mouth.

Again, lysobact or Miramistin - the best remedy for each pathology and age will be prompted only by a doctor.

In this article, we compared Lizobact with other drugs and wrote what is best for treatment.

Ingalipt or Miramistin

Inhalipt refers to an antimicrobial combination of anti-inflammatory drugs. Unlike miramistina, it is used only for diseases of the pharynx and oral cavity, it is produced in an aerosol. Inhalipt is allowed only after 3 years, prohibited for women during pregnancy and lactation.

Inhalipt, as well as Miramistin, in the process of use can cause a slight burning sensation and allergic reactions, but usually these phenomena quickly or do not occur at all. Ingalipt contains peppermint and eucalyptus oils, therefore the drug is not indicated for those allergic to these plants. During the treatment with ingalipt, especially its overdose, nausea, vomiting, and epigastric pain (in the stomach area) were observed.

If you choose by price, ingalipt or miramistin, then naturally the first drug has clear advantages.

Nevertheless, practicing doctors note that Miramistin has a stronger effect on the bacterial flora, so it is more commonly used for complications from viral infections.

Is it possible to replace miramistin with rotokan?

Rotokan refers to the antiseptic on a natural basis. It includes extracts of calendula, yarrow, chamomile. Rotokan acts more gently and, in addition to its anti-inflammatory action, it perfectly regenerates mucous membranes, stops minor bleeding, relieves spasm and pain in the oral cavity. Antiseptic properties are higher in Miramistin.

The official instructions for rotokan indicated that, in general, the drug is prescribed for dental diseases and, in some cases, for gastrointestinal pathology (colitis, enteritis, gastroduodenitis). In practice, rotokan is widely used to treat pharyngitis, tonsillitis, ARVI and influenza, especially when patients are allergic to non-plant chemicals.

Very rarely, rotocan causes allergic reactions. For children, rotokan is usually used after three years. In 200 ml of boiled water dissolve 1 teaspoon of pharmacy solution. Adults can use 3 tsp. in a glass of water.

Usually, in the beginning of oropharyngeal diseases, it is better to do with safer means, such as rotocan, and Miramistin is better to use in complicated cases. As for the price, Rotokan has clear advantages, it is 6–8 times cheaper.

Cheap analogues of Miramistina for children

Currently, in the children's practice, unfortunately, there are few drugs that are cheaper than miramistina in their pricing policies. Basically, the same drugs as for adults are cheap analogues for children, and, as a rule, these are old remedies that have been proven over the years:

  • chlorophyllipt (oil) - 140 rubles,
  • chlorhexidine (0.05%, 100 ml) - 15 rubles,
  • Hexoral (0.1% 200 ml) - 30 rubles,
  • ingalipt (aerosol 30ml) - 90 rubles,
  • Lyugol spray - 110 rubles.

In addition to these funds, a naturopathic drug has shown good results. malavitbut its disadvantage is about 200 rubles per bottle in 30 ml. Malavit is used in children after 5 years.

The drug is good because its action is not limited only to diseases of the oropharynx, but it also, like Miramistin, is recommended for other pathologies, such as: hematomas, dermatitis, insect bites, burns, wounds, frostbite, and neuritis.

Malavit has antiviral, analgesic, antifungal and antibacterial effects. Perfectly eliminates fungal microflora after long-term treatment with antiseptic chemicals. A remedy is shown not only for treatment, but also for prophylactic purposes.

The advantage of Malavit can be considered its cost.. A total of 5–10 drops per 100 ml of water is sufficient to prepare the solution used for rinsing and nasal washes. In practice, Malavit is used even in children under 5 years old, then the solution is diluted as follows: 1 drop per year of life + 100 ml of water.

Malavit should not be overlooked just becausethat it is a little more expensive than miramistina. In some online pharmacies, you can often see discounts on this tool, especially since the drug is Russian-made and does not depend on foreign supplies.

Therefore, having considered all the positive aspects of Malavita, we can conclude that in fact its price is not more expensive, because economical use of the drug makes it possible to use the drug for a long time.

About the healing properties of Miramistin

What is better for children - Miramistin or Chlorophyllipt?

Chlorophyllipt, like Miramistin, has a pronounced antibacterial activity, which allows it to destroy a large range of pathogenic microflora. The similarity of these drugs lies in the widespread use of both drugs in different areas of medicine.

Chlorophyllipt in pediatric practice is popular with dental and ENT infections, but this is not the only purpose of the remedy. Pleurisy, burns, peritonitis, enterocolitis, gastritis, ulcers, erosion and a number of other diseases require such antiseptic as chlorophyllipt.

Indisputable the advantage of chlorophyllipt is its natural compositioncontaining the natural component - eucalyptus leaves (a mixture of A and B chlorophylls).

Many instructions for chlorophyllipt do not have clear data on the age category, but medical records are littered with the prescription of this drug. Usually it is already prescribed from the age of three. Babies are more advised to use diluted alcohol solution, but in the absence of allergy, oil chlorophyllipt acts even more gently and is lower in price.

Chlorophyllipt is cheaper than Miramistin by about 30–50 rubles.

In each case, only a pediatrician chooses antiseptics for children, and what is better, Miramistin or Chlorofiliipt, will prompt practical application.

Conclusion

When choosing analogs, it is not always necessary to be guided only by price. An important component is still the composition. Any drug can only be replaced by its structural analog, i.e. means similar to the active substance. The remaining drugs will be similar in effect on the body.

Therefore, it is not always possible to independently select a substitute for the drug, and patients receive useless therapy, it is good if it does not harm. Be vigilant, in time ask for medical help, and good health to you!

The doctor will advise on how to do the rinsing correctly and determine the number of procedures, which will depend on the severity of the symptoms.

In addition, to relieve the condition of angina, you can do inhalation with Miramistin. It is important that the appointment is made by a specialist, as during inhalation through a nebulizer, Miramistin undergoes very small spraying, which can cause an allergic reaction. The physician must take into account possible contraindications and in cases where the patient has a tendency to allergies, choose a different way to use the drug.

When treating acute tonsillitis or pharyngitis in children, it is preferable to use throat irrigation. For children from 6 years old, the procedure is performed 3-4 times a day, irrigation is done using a special nozzle, to achieve a therapeutic effect, a single press is enough. Application Reviews

Review number 1

For the first time faced Miramistin after childbirth. The process was long and difficult, there were no complications, there were gaps. While in the hospital, the sutures were treated with Miramistin.

Some time after the treatment, a slight burning sensation was felt, but then this feeling disappeared. The stitches healed quickly, did not fester and were not inflamed. The second time I ran into an antiseptic when my son got a sore throat. The doctor, in addition to the usual drugs, prescribed Miramistin and explained how to use it for irrigation of the throat.

The procedure was done 3 times a day; the son did not like it very much, but he bravely endured it. The effect appeared almost immediately, the redness decreased and the throat stopped to hurt. The drug is certainly expensive, but it is worth it, since it is completely safe and does not harm the body.

This summer, the little boy was badly injured when he fell off the bike. He tore the skin on his knees and elbows, the wounds were very painful, constantly bleeding, the child cried and did not allow him to handle the injured areas. It is good that the cost of the meringue fractures. Traumatologist advised to use the Miramistin solution and said that the antiseptic will help to heal and protect open wounds from infection.

In the first days they made bandages with Miramistin, imposing gauze soaked in an antiseptic and wound knees and elbows on the injured areas. Literally on the third day, they noticed that the wounds began to heal, stopped bleeding, dried up, began to become covered with a crust. There was no suppuration. After that, they began to use a nozzle for spraying and simply irrigate the affected skin with a solution.

The bandage is not imposed. The son in the first days wept, but then he did not feel pain or other unpleasant sensations. A week later, he forgot about the injury, and the dry crusts soon fell off, and healthy pink skin remained under them. I do not know what we would do without Miramistin and, although the drug is expensive, this price corresponds to quality.

Miramistin is always in my first aid kit, an indispensable medication! I first met him when I was treating thrush. Miramistin applied only 5 days and all the symptoms disappeared without a trace. I treated with this antiseptic burn, when I accidentally spilled boiling water on my hand from the kettle.

The drug helped a lot, the burn healed in record time. The children treated this solution with abrasions and wounds, treated the sore throat. My husband rinsed Miramistin's mouth when his gums ached and ached. Antiseptic always works flawlessly, and most importantly - it is absolutely safe, it is used even in infants. I advise everyone to always keep on hand this drug in case of any unforeseen situations. Harm from him just will not.
